Meet Ajahn Ahimsako
- Early Life: Born near San Francisco, California, in 1959, Ajahn Ahimsako spent nearly 30 years in classical ballet as a dancer, teacher, and educator.
- Journey to Buddhism: While in England, he visited Sri Lanka, where his interest in Buddhism was sparked. He soon visited Amaravati Buddhist Monastery and the London Buddhist Vihara, marking the start of his monastic journey.
- Monastic Life: Ajahn Ahimsako began his monastic life in 2002 at Abhayagiri Buddhist Monastery in California and was formally ordained in 2004 by Luang Por Pasanno.
- Training and Leadership: He trained under the guidance of Luang Por Sumedho and Ajahn Amaro at Amaravati Buddhist Monastery. In 2019, he was appointed Abbot of Chithurst Monastery.
